I can very much relate. Play is so so important. But I often catch me thinking, that I have to be ‘productive’ and make something meaningful and something one could call art. Even though I know too well, that playing is what give me new ideas and stimulates my creativity. Also, this one photograph: it is so good! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much Susanne. It's such a strange struggle isn't it? Knowing that without play you won't make anything meaningful, but having the desire to create meaningful work get in the way of play.

Glad you like the photograph - its one of my favourites so far from the series I'm working on.

What is art to you? Especially, what is art that photography right now is not? Looking forward to those sunny days for you ⛅️

Hi Sara, thats a great question, thank you for asking it. Art for me can mean so many things, and photography has always been on the that list before. I think right I've got stuck in the need for it to be leading somewhere, or mean something, to help justify the continued struggles of being a full time artist. I need to let go and play.

Dear Rosie .... I LOVE this .... Why? Because one of the most important things to remember in life is the realisation that .... just when we seem to think, "nothing is happening (!!)" ..... everything really is happening under the surface .... & when we keep on playing & truly enJOYing....when it all emerges, bubbles up to be seen, felt, heard, touched, experienced, loved, cherished .... well, cheers to the mysteries of total transformation ..... & YOU!!! Blessings & hugs from Mexico. xxxxxx

Jenty, that is exactly what playing and making is for, to let the mind wonder so that everything thats been happening under the surface can start to bubble up into the conscious mind.

I am excited about the journey of discovery
