What is A Nomadic Rosie?

Welcome to A Nomadic Rose by me, Rosie Sherwood. I am an eco-artist working with photography and sculpture. As an avid traveller, my camera and notebook accompany me wherever I go. I am currently converting a van into a home for a lifelong journey of exploring and learning.

My art is dedicated to finding ways of communicating the urgency of the earth crisis, and fighting back against climate breakdown and biodiversity loss. I give voice to the beauty and power of the natural world, and the importance of a positive and balanced human relationship with it. For the next four years I will be working towards a PhD in eco-art at Falmouth University.

Sign up for honest stories from my journey as an artist, as I convert my panel van into a tiny home, and set off to explore the world and create art.

A Nomadic Rose is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Why write a newsletter?

Writing A Nomadic Rose is an essential part of my work as an artist. Every letter provides me with space to reflect and think. Being an eco-artist in the face of all of todays challenges isn’t always easy, but it is worth it. A Nomadic Rose allows me and to share my art and van journey with an incredible community.

What your subscription gives me:

Subscriptions, free and paid alike, give me the drive to keep writing, making art, and building my van. Knowing that someone is reading is everything to me. But if you are wondering what paid subscription gives me, £4.00 a month may not seem like much, but it goes a surprisingly long way. Think of it as a roll of camera film or the next few miles down the road. You are making the journey possible.
