Trees
I wrote in Mondays newsletter about the splendid joy of planting three silver birches, and the trees that forest my soul. In honour of that, I thought I would share one of my favourite photographs from my current work in progress.
This photograph was taken somewhere between Ilfracombe and Clovelly on the South West Coast Path. Sometimes when I take a photograph I know it’s the one, and other times they surprise me once the film has been developed. This photograph surprised me. I had no idea when taking it how well it would turn out. I love the height of the branches, the way they seem to reach for the top of the frame, and how easily the entire thing could be a reflection. It is a perfect image of the tress growing on the salt wash lands of the south coast.
