My archives are taking us to France today, to the incredible wetland of The Camargue, one of my Aunty Tessa’s soul-homes. The Camargue is a place we have visited together often and this photo is in her honour as I miss her, and wish Covid would ease so we can adventure together again.
Flamingos are hilarious and wonderful creatures. I love how, in this photograph, their colourful plumage stands out against the blue grey of the landscape. And I love the one at the front having a scratch.
If you like this photo I would strongly recommend looking at Tessa’s exceptional paintings HERE. Tess does the unusual and captivating land of The Camergue far more justice than I do.
