Our Seas
Earlier this week I got to announce the thrilling news that I am the UK’s first Blue Carbon Artist in Residence, working alongside Plymouth University, Plymouth City Council, the National Marine Aquarium and the Ocean Conservation Trust. Together we will be creating a major, city-wide project that illuminates the incredible wonder of seagrass, and the importance of blue carbon in the fight against the climate crisis.
In honour of this I thought I would share one of my photographs from the South West Coast. I love the off-centre framing of this image, and the incredible surface texture of the sea, reflected in the moss and lichen covered rock formation.
When standing on the cliffs looking out I can’t help but imagine the incredible seascape hidden below the surface. My new project will allow me to bring some of these hidden wonders to the city of Plymouth.
