Ghost Gum, Karlu Karlu, Australia
Taken on my Hasselblad using Kodak colour film.
The ghost gum is my favourite tree in the world. There is nothing like the white of its trunk against the red earth and blue skies of Central Australia. When I close my eyes and imagine Australia, it is the ghost gum that comes to me. Here they stand among the giant boulders of Karlu Karlu in the Northern Territories, a sacred site to the Warumungu people.
(Note: I have decided to share a weekly photograph from my archives, along with a few words about the image. I hope you enjoy them.)
Stunning!
