Coast Path Foxglove
Foxgloves are among my favourite flowers in the world. The details on their bell shaped petals is astounding. I love watching as they stand proud in hedgerows and fields. There is something wild about the foxglove.
This photograph was taken on my very first South West Coast Path hike, the beginning of a project that is still in progress today. The proud reach of the flower with its petals all facing out to sea makes me smile every time. Though foxgloves capture the eye in part because of their gorgeous colours I love the way those colours and patterns have translated to black and white here.
Have you seen your first wild foxgloves yet this year? I found mine just the other day!
