Anonymous, Budapest
The statue of Anonymous stands in the Budapest City Park. The hooded figure, holding his book and pen, is the unknown chronicler of early Magyar history. He is my grandmother Marika’s favourite sculpture. She took me to meet him for the first time when I was ten, and I have been back every time I’ve been to Budapest.
